Event Title :: 1 Mile Run/Walk with Pride
Description :: Join the Front Runners in celebrating their 25th year by running or walking in the 1 mile timed race along the parade route. All participants will receive a commemorative medal and a SportsWeek t-shirt. Special prizes to top three male and female finishers.The run/walk will be held just prior to the Pride Parade on Sunday, June 8th. The time is 12 Noon--yes, I know, it sounds hot, but it's only one mile and will be run through the city streets. Use of the 12th Street Gym showers will be available for those who want to spruce up before heading down to the Pride Festival at Penn's Landing.

On Saturday June 7, 2008, the Spartan Wrestling Club of Philadelphia will hold its Second Annual Pride Tournament at Ben Franklin High School in Philadelphia. The tournament will run from 12 PM – 5 PM with weigh-ins starting at 12:00 PM (noon), with the public being admitted at 12:30 PM and wrestling beginning at 1 PM. This is a sanctioned AAU tournament . All wrestlers must have a valid AAU Wrestling card by the day of the tournament. AAU memberships can be purchased online at AAU Sports and membership cards printed immediately.
